How Memorial Scholarships work:
First of all, it is important for United Scholarships, Inc. to inform our donors that ANY and ALL monetary donations in a loved one’s name are put towards the individual’s named scholarship. All funds received, regardless of the amount, are used towards scholarships. If none of the following tiers are achieved, the funds received will be used towards scholarships, up to $500 each, until the memorial funds have been exhausted.
We also recognize the desire of families to continue their loved one’s legacy with long-term and perpetual scholarships, and for that reason, USI offers 3 tiers of long-term scholarships:
Tier 1: $2,500 in donations provides for a $500 named scholarship for 5 years.
Tier 2: $5,000 in donations provides for a $500 named scholarship for 10 years.
Tier 3 Perpetual: $10,000 in donations provides for a $500 Perpetual Scholarship.
Individuals wishing to fulfill any of the scholarship tiers have a time period of One (1) Year to contribute the donation amount, with the time period beginning upon USI’s receipt of the initial donation.
